HISTORY
In January 2010, a small group of Philippine Science High School Batch 85 alumni, socially met after 25 years since graduation, to apprise each other of what’s going on in their lives. It wasn’t before long that it became evident that all were involved in one way or the other in development work in their personal capacities. One was involved in traditional medical care, another in alternative health care, another in climate change and environmental work, and a couple in technologies and innovations. All had a vision to contribute to Philippine development with an integrated approach, not only the application of technological innovations for industry and environment, but also taking into consideration the need for support in terms of political reforms and social participation. It was recognized that having been recipients of government scholarships in the past, it is time to pay back. By leveraging each and everyone’s expertise, a synergistic perspective that would be advantageous for the country is more attainable.
Thereafter, other batch mates heard of this endeavor, and after a few more organizational meetings, the Center for Emerging Technologies and Innovations of the Philippines, Inc. (CETI Philippines) was born. Organized under the laws of the land, the company has been successfully registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on 2012 March 14.
